MATTHEW 5:6
ESV:“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.A Christian should truly hunger and thirst for righteousness. The Bible has no reward for those who act righteously out of fear of eternal damnation or those who act righteously out of self powered righteousness without genuinely coming to the Lordship of Christ. Jesus says people who hunger and thirst for righteousness will be satisfied, that means those who do not hunger for it but simply feels they can just do it will be judged by their own strengths and the human strength is greatly imperfect and full of short comings. That is to say, no matter how good you are, it can't get you saved or make you attain God's divine standard. Do you want to be satisfied righteously? Are you tired of doing it all on your own? Then truly hunger and thirst for it... believe in the finished work of Jesus as a means of getting that righteousness, and you will fully be satisfied.
