“Do not call anything impure that God has made clean” – Acts 11:9
At the beginning of this world, we saw in Genesis how God brought the universe into reality just by the power of His words. There isn’t any record of anything not coming into being the moment God pronounced them! When we say that God cannot lie, we aren’t saying that He wouldn’t want to lie, we are simply saying that anything He calls forth comes to pass. There isn’t any ability of falsehood in God because everything responds to what He calls out of them. If God suddenly declares that a paper is a plastic, the paper becomes plastic immediately. When God called forth light, there was gross darkness but out of that darkness, the light came to be! Please follow me closely:
1. God’s words are true.
2. Our sense and judgement can’t alter His words.
In the same way, everything God calls forth come to be the way He has pronounced it, we became righteous the moment He pronounced us righteous. It is true we may not feel like it and our eyes may not agree but we are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:21) and in God’s sight, we are perfect! This isn’t because we worked for it but because He has pronounced us righteous and Holy. The Bible says we are a chosen generation and a holy nation! Just like the light shined from darkness, God had brought fort perfect people out of all our mistakes and imperfections. Whether you are white or black, in whatever ethnicity or religious background, God has declared you righteous and you can key into His righteousness in Christ Jesus.
POINT TO NOTE
It will be an insult to the finished works of Jesus to say that we are not righteous if we have surrendered to Him. This isn’t to our credit; it is to the glory of God! As Christians, we must, therefore, train our body to respond to the righteousness of God that is in us (Philippians 2:12). When we walk in love among all men, people will have the experience of God’s righteousness.
“God called me “pure” and therefore I am pure as His word said! Everything He calls forth is as He has called it and now I walk in righteousness just as His word has declared me righteous.”
Thank you, precious Lord, for declaring me righteous. Your word is true and your word is the final. I chose to walk in the light of who I am from today.
