“No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
— Romans 8:37-39 NIV
When you are faced with very challenging times, does it mean God isn’t with you? Does it mean God’s love for you has faded away? The Bible gives us an amazing answer! Regardless of what you are faced with the Bible says in Romans 8:28 “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” No matter the troubles you are facing, whether they are results of your weakness or not, the Bible says all things work for the benefit of those who love God. Before taking a glance at our main text, let us get this point
1. If you love God, all things will work for your benefit.
2. God loves you and has set all things to work for your benefit.
When you love God, you hearken to His voice which is in His word and you live your life as directed by His word. It is in this way that all things work for your good; He already set things to work for your good! One way to get all things to work for your good is to trust God even in the face of fear! Our main text says you are more than conquerors in all things through God who loves you! To put it in other words, it means as long as you are in Christ, you are already victorious in all things! You aren’t victorious by the reason of your strength but by the reason of His strength.
POINT TO NOTE
There is nothing existing or will ever exist that can separate you from God’s love! Not even what you do can separate you from God’s love and that love can only be accessed in Christ Jesus!
“I am inseparable from God’s love. His love for me is not determined by what I do or by my unfaithfulness. However, I am faithful because He loves me and I live as an extension of His love to others.”
My God and my father, I am grateful for your everlasting love. In the face of things I don’t understand, may I always be reminded of your unfailing love. May Thank you for loving me.
