WHAT YOU MUST KNOW BEFORE YOU QUIT!

WHAT TO KNOW BEFORE YOU QUIT
:
It could be much better if you learn to put your head down and stop desiring those places you know you aren’t meant to be, those friends you aren’t meant to be with and those things you aren’t meant to have, at least at that given moment. It is important to know the timing, to know when things are for you and when they are distractions. When you understand where God wants you to be, when He wants you to be there and what He want you to do there, you will not be too eager to lose hold on hope.
:
Right inside of everyone that has ever walked this earth, including the great and mighty world changers, the winners and champions ever known on this planet earth; there is one common urge we all share together! We share this urge with winners and losers alike, we share it with men and women and there is no person who would deny not having a fair share of this urge. This is the urge to give up, to quit and relegate ourselves to the background. If you have never felt like quitting before, you have never faced a real life issue.
:
There has been times I felt like quitting, maybe after an ugly experience, after rejection, after failure of something I so much had hope in, I feel like quitting, I feel like pulling down all my platforms and going into the background where no one would ever trace me, I feel like maybe I am not fit for what I am doing already or what I am trying to do! I feel these things and I know someone else feels it in even more deeper way! While everyone goes through this urge at times, if you end up quitting, it doesn’t mean this is God’s desire for you, it doesn’t mean you are where God want you to be.
:
There are times quitting becomes a very desiring option! There are times some Pastors are involved in scandals or blackmails and they feel like “I don’t think I can go ahead! I am not good enough! I’ve got to quit!” There are times people run into so many debts that they want to quit and hide in the dark! There are times people want to dump a project and quit! Everyone comes to that moment. Well, I wouldn’t say it is an unusual urge, it is normal to want to quit and it is even normal to walk few steps into the path of quitting! It is normal to run out of patience and want to give up on that business, relationship or marriage!
:
But wait a minute!
Before you quit, I want you to remember that it is men who win a race that the trophy is given to and not the men who stopped on the way! It is okay if you are running on the wrong path and you want to quit and retrace your steps but when you know you were running towards the right purpose, you have to reconsider if quitting is worth it! It may look like a relieve but when one run from a fight, he will surely come back to finish the fight some other day. Only men who endure to the end are called victorious! If you won the first stage but loosed out on the last stage, you’re not considered victorious. If you quit, you cannot lay any claim to the trophy.
:
Because things became so hard may be a good reason to consider quitting, it is normal and everybody feels that way but it is never a good reason to actually quit. Quitting doesn’t solve the problem, it creates more problem because it leaves the initial problem unsolved. The desire to quit isn’t a matter of who is stronger or weaker, sometimes we quit but even the weaker ones decides to keep moving until they reach the end! The initial antidote to this desire is choice! While the desire may pop up as options, you still have the ability to either quit or stay where you are.
:
When you look up during the last hours to day break, it is usually the darkest hour but it doesn’t last long and it is on this short time to daybreak that people quit! A lot of people quit while just in front of victory, they are standing in the face of victory but because of the strong desire to quit, they aren’t patient or hopeful enough to take few more steps.
:
Listen carefully,
That you didn’t succeed may not be God’s will for you! It is not everything you have today that got approval from God and it is not everything you didn’t get that got withheld by God. Sometimes some of our experiences today are products of the choices we made. I don’t mean to sound harsh but quitting is an instrument of foolishness and ignorance. When you quit, you are denying yourself a trophy that was supposed to belong to you! Successful people are not people who never saw challenges, they are not people who didn’t feel the urge to quit! They are not people who likely experienced lesser challenges! If they open up to tell us what they went through we may be forced to think we’ve not seen anything. Successful people are people who against all odds still went ahead to win! The odds must not be in your favour to become successful, when the odds aren’t in your favour, defy the odds and still win big!
:
The things you experience today does not define who you will become tomorrow! Yea, you may have failed in that relationship, you may have failed in that business, you may have even failed to get people trust your integrity but truth is, you can decide that the past will not define your future, you can decide not to give up on yourself! Trust me, you can still have a beautiful relationship, you can still grow a better business, you can still get people trust you! The most important thing is, do not give up at least on yourself! You may give up on things that you aren’t meant to have, you may give up on things you aren’t meant to do but you must understand that you don’t have to give up on yourself, on your purpose, on that dream and on those things that are right!
:
If people succeeded against all odds, your own case will not be different! You can hang on there and see the light blossom! Even Jesus had a point where He felt like giving up but He hanged on! The Bible says in Matthew 26:39 that Jesus at some point felt that human desire to give up and He prayed “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.” Jesus too in the flesh shared in the same desire to give up but Jesus hanged on. It is not terrible to feel the urge to give up! I feel it sometimes, I feel like starting just a new life at times and giving up on all the things I’ve worked towards but we have stand strong and make a choice to keep moving. We don’t allow our feelings dictate what we do after all.
:
Hope this blessed you?
