HOW TO MANIFEST THE ANOINTING

HOW TO
:
Is there any doubt that Jesus was anointed? Was there any doubt that Jesus had the fullness of all the offices on Him? The miracles performed by Jesus were signs marking the extraordinary anointing that was upon Jesus! Jesus was not just anointed; He could anoint anyone He wants to because there was never any anointing left that He didn’t have. We see Jesus in the word casting out demons and sicknesses without stress! We also saw Jesus say we would do even greater works (John 4:12) because He is going to the father (with us in Him.) Jesus continues to do greater works through us today. They may not appear in forms you expect but it will always get evident by the day.
:
Being a believer in Christ Jesus, you aren’t ready to be anointed, you have been anointed! The Bible says in 1 John 2:20 that we have an anointing from the Holy one! And I tell you one truth many have overlooked, you have access to just the same anointing that Jesus manifested! You can only manifest it to the degree you know and your knowing is instrumental to your growth in faith. What differentiates two believers in their manifestations of the anointing is knowledge and their level of growth in faith but they both have access to same anointing! Sometimes the issues of life seem to put our faith down, sometimes we stand in the valleys of shadows of death and we trip off because we do not know that the Lord is right there with us but this exactly is where we are supposed to manifest the anointing! Here are ways you could manifest the anointing that is already available in you.
:
1. GROW IN FAITH: Many people think they’d grow the anointing by just praying but they spend less time on the word of God, they pray really so well but they study poorly! They cry always for fire and are truly zealous to burn for God but they rarely depend on the sincere milk of God’s word; that is, the very basics of the word! Truth is, as important as it is to pray for fire, God has already released His fire inside of you and you’ve got to start walking in that truth, you’ve got to start training yourself to put into usage what God has already made available in you. Until you give yourself wholly to the ministry of the word, you cannot grow in faith and until your grow in faith, you cannot manifest God’s anointing in a greater way because the manifestation of the anointing in you is largely dependent on your understanding and knowledge of God’s word. To grow in faith means to grow in the knowledge of the word and there is no growing until you become intentional about studying the word. Doubt can be a difficult thing to ignore but the word of God helps you discard them away as you constantly keep your eyes focused on the word. So many times people pray and ask God “increase my faith dear Lord” but Jesus already gave an answer for this, Jesus made it clear in Luke 17:6 that your little faith is just enough! When they asked Jesus to increase their faith, He pointed them towards what they could do with their “little faith”. Many times we consider the faith we have so little but Jesus is saying “that is exactly enough to move mountains!” The most important thing we should note about faith is that we can grow in faith! The Bible says in Romans 10:17(NIV) “Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.” Faith is activated to a greater dimension by hearing the message about Christ!
:
First of all, every man has faith to believe something! It took faith for you to believe that book is a book but human faith is usually dependent on visible factors. There is another kind of faith that comes when we hear the message about Jesus and after the salvation experience; we continue to grow in this faith as we are given to the word of God. Where our mind is usually focused on will determine what we are productive at! If you want to be productive in the things of God, you must be willing to be focused on the things of God! The Bible says in Colossians 3:1-2 “Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.” This doesn’t mean we should ignore everything on earth but it means our focus should be on the things above! Therefore as we walk and work on this earth, we are constantly producing results in accordance to God’s will! One chief duty that has been assigned to us as those who are anointed of God is to bring others to salvation, we are anointed for effective service in the body of Christ and the Bible says in Romans 1:16 that the gospel is God’s power unto salvation! The gospel is the Good News about Christ and if we focus on this Good News we will constantly be wielding this power effortlessly!
:
2. WALK IN THE SPIRIT: When people hear statements like “walking in the Spirit” they want to think it is a state that takes so much time to enter into, they think of some esoteric instances of turning off the sensations of this earth realm and walking in ghost mode! But the instruction of walking in the Spirit is as simple and clear to the believer as asking people to read 1-3. There are two things that should come in mind when you hear “walk in the Spirit and they are, walking in faith or walking in the light of the word. Jesus said in John 6:63 “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh is no help at all. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life.” God’s word is Spirit and life and anyone walking in the light of this word is walking in the Spirit! You cannot separate walking in faith and walking in the light of the word of God because it takes the knowledge of the word to walk in faith. To walk in the Spirit also means to express the faith! You cannot be asking God to give you the nations when you aren’t even up on your feet to preach the gospel to those around you! It is as foolish to ask God for nations when you aren’t doing anything as asking God for wealth when your hands aren’t faithful in any work! It is the works of our hands that God blesses and this is true even in spiritual instances. When you walk in faith, you are saying that “God’s word is true and I have chosen to believe it!” Walking in faith means being obedient to the word at all times! If you were asked to go into the world then you’ve got to stop asking too many questions and start going! Abraham was asked to go and the Bible says he went! Many people spend time sitting down and wondering “how do I go? How sure am I that God’s power will be evident? What if I lay hands on the sick and he’s not healed? What if I preach the gospel and there is no conviction?” We ask too many questions that we start entertaining doubt! The Bible says in Hebrews 11:8-9 that Abraham reached the Land God promised him and lived there all by faith! This means, Abraham although he didn’t experience most of these things in the flesh was already there in faith! Faith keeps you where you are supposed to be even before your body got there! The Bible says in Galatians 5:16 that we will continue to please the flesh if we do not walk in the Spirit! The dictates of the Spirit can only be accessed by being obedient to the word of God! This means doing what Jesus asked us to do and believing that God’s word is true! We don’t just believe God’s word is true; we live in the consciousness of the truth of His word.
:
3. WALK IN CONSISTENCY: Big things start off small! The journey of the Apostles started from the day Jesus called each and every one of them. It started with just being obedient to the call and following Jesus. They didn’t start right off to heal the sick, raise the dead and cast out demons; they started with rigorous training in ministry! A lot of believers want to do heavy weight stuffs but they don’t want to start humble! How can you be talking of manifesting the anointing when you aren’t even ready to submit entirely? Wait a minute! You have accepted Jesus and what else is there to submit? If you do not commit yourself to the body of Christ, you have not totally submitted! Service in your local assembly may be just what you need at the moment, maybe which is the platform where God wants you to grow! God obviously want to use you beyond the four walls of the assembly but God also want you to be accountable! The local assembly is God’s wisdom at work; it is a school of the kingdom where you learn the things of Christ. It is not just about being in a local assembly, you also have to keep your walk steady! It doesn’t matter if you are seeing results or not, it doesn’t matter if you are healing the sick or not, just keep trusting the Lord and doing the little things you are doing for the kingdom! God may have called you for a million souls but it starts with one! The Bible says in Luke 6:10 “If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won’t be honest with greater responsibilities.” Every journey of greatness starts off with a step and sometimes in weakness! No matter how weak it seems you are, how you seem to be so unworthy to be used by God, you can express faithfulness by consistently walking and not stop! You may stumble at times but you’ve got to rise and keep walking! It is not those who don’t fall that the Bible called wise but those who fall and rise (Proverbs 24:16)! It takes effort on your own part to truly grow in capacity, your effort isn’t a price you are paying for the anointing or salvation because it has truly being paid for, it is the training you are giving yourself so that you can confidently lay hold on what God has given freely. If I gift you 50kg of rice, you’d still need to carry the rice!
:
4. BE GIVEN TO PRAYERS AND MEDITATIONS: You may regard this as an off-shoot of the first point! There is no way to study the word of God and not pray! When you pray the word, you are putting that word into effect; you are causing power to manifest! The Bible says in James 5:16 that the prayer of a righteous man is effective and powerful! You are righteous not by works but by faith in Jesus just as Abraham believed God and it was counted to him as righteousness (Romans 4:3)! You are the righteous man the Bible talks about whose prayers are effective! By praying, you are being in agreement with God, you are causing changes to happen, you are speaking into effect things that are invisible into visibility and you are aligning yourself to the will of God as revealed in the word. Many people ask “if Jesus paid for it all, why should we pray?” Our prayers show we love God because in praying we express that love to Him. It shows we are solely dependent on Him and His words because the prayer of the believer is based on the word! It shows we are giving God the opportunity and permission to go ahead and be our Lord in decision makings! There are many more reasons to pray!
:
You have seen it! Growing in faith, walking in the Spirit, being consistent in your walk with God and giving yourself to the life of prayers will cause a greater manifestation of God’s anointing upon you! It basically boils down to three things, developing yourself in the place of the word, in the place of prayers in your daily expressions of God’s word. Just remember one thing, keep your focus on Jesus, let your motive be about Jesus, let it be all about Jesus! “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:2
