THE WORD ESTABLISHMENT

:

The believer in Christ Jesus can only be established by the word of God because the word of God is personified in Jesus. Now, anyone who has received Jesus has received life but it is to the degree of our acceptance that we can only experience that life here in the physical realm. You need no rocket science to know that words are powerful, it carries the exact authority and influence of the voice that speaks it. Why do people run when the Lion roar? It is not because of the weight of its sound but because of the fear of Lion which is assumed the King of the Jungle. In the same way, everything responds to words in one way or another and to the degree of authority that the voice carries.

:

The Bible says Now the LORD God had formed out of the ground all the wild animals and all the birds in the sky. He brought them to the man to see what he would name them; and whatever the man called each living creature, that was its name.” – Genesis 2:19(NIV). Man carries in his tongue the same dominion mandate God has given to him. When God blessed man and said “dominate the earth”, the word of man was also meant to express and implement that dominion mandate in the sense that whatever man says in his area of influence is what happens.

:

The Bible didn’t say God brought the animals to Adam and commanded him to name them, rather, God brought the animals to Adam to see what He would name them which means that Adam already understood that he had that authority to name things and they become exactly what he had called them. That was the extent of the authority the voice of Adam carried. Before the fall of Adam, Adam was functioning in the full capacity of God here on earth because God made it to be so. The Bible reported God saying concerning the making of man in Genesis 1:26 (NIV) “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.” We can see how God wanted man to function, it was exactly like He does function. Now, making us in His image and likeness means we would rule over everything on earth and we rule by actions and we also rule by words! God expressed supremacy over everything by commanding things to be and they became exactly what He had called them to be. When He said “let there be light” there was light and in the same capacity Adam named things and it became exactly as He named them. If Adam had named the devil “unimportant”, he would have remained insignificant.

:

In a previous teaching, I explained that the fallen man wasn’t a representation of God’s image. It was the perfect Adam that was made in God’s image and it was altered. Adam was supposed to reproduce who he was but after the fall, he reproduced sinful people like him. The Bible says in Psalm 51:5 (NIV) Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me.” This is very clear that the sinful man isn’t the bearer of God’s image. The moment Adam sinned, the image of God in man was lost, man lost relationship with God at least to the degree God wanted it. When man ignorantly relegated God-given authority to the devil, man actually lost mastery in establishing realities with words. But glory to God! Jesus didn’t just came to save us from sin or restore the lost glory, He gave us something more profound, the exact life of God! (John 3:16).

:

A believer in Christ first of all confessed him or herself to life. God designed it in a way that we are to make that choice of living! The Bible says in Romans 10:9 (NIV) If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Can you see that? The mouth must declare what the heart believes, when our confession and belief becomes that Jesus is our Lord, He becomes our Lord. Our words is what brings into reality our acceptance of  Jesus as our Lord and this is the same with every other aspect of our lives. The Bible says in Proverbs 18:20 (ESV) “From the fruit of a man’s mouth his stomach is satisfied; he is satisfied by the yield of his lips. Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.” Words produces results and a man can reap of the fruit of what he says whether they be ignorant talks or conscious talks. This is why we must be careful of establishments we build by words. The Bible says death and life are contained in the power of the tongue and every talker will eat of the fruit of what they say. Alright, you don’t have to be so scared of all you have said in the past, you’ve got to start rewriting your story by talking the right talk.

:

Just as our confession of the Lordship of Jesus activates the very important aspect of salvation in our lives, whatever else we confess gets activated and determines the fruits will eat here on earth. This is not a joke, your words are so important and Jesus said in Matthew 12:37 “For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.” Look at that! Jesus was talking about the confession of His lordship here which implements salvation. But why our words? It is because our word communicates our heart and the Bible made it clear in Luke 6:45 that the mouth speaks out of the abundance of the heart. That is the way God wired us to function. Animals have no word, they may have sound but they have no word. Word and sound aren’t the same thing and no matter the science behind trying to make animals speak, they cannot speak. You will reap of the fruit of your lips, why not start speaking the right things? And as the tree grows gradually and begin to bear fruits you will always experience the result of the words you speak. It may happen gradually and very slowly but it will truly always happen.

:

Concerning the words we speak, Jesus said in Mark 11:23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saithJesus didn’t say whosoever shall try to push the mountain but whosoever shall “SAY” unto the mountain! Our words brings about realities, our words can melt obstacles and challenges! Words are powerful, how much more words of believers, people who carry God’s power! It doesn’t matter how odd this sounds, your mouth generates power! The Bible says the power of tongue contains life and death, it wasn’t talking about the tongue of believers but the tongue of men. However, we who are new creatures have advantage! We have the right words to speak, the word of God should become our words. Don’t say what will be will be, who told you that? You can reshape things with the word of God!

:

The New creature is the real image of God and not the fallen man. God should be our model and we know God formed this earth by the word. The Bible says in Hebrews 11:3 (ESV) “By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible.” God created the world with words and what is visible came out of invisible words. Words are not visible, they are not tangible but words brings into reality things that are tangible. You can start putting shape to that areas of your life that seems shapeless. Be consistent with speaking the word of God which talks about your life in Him, your identity in Him and your inheritance in Him. For instance, do not let any circumstances of life get you into saying “you are finished!” You can’t be finished! The Psalmist was in the midst of challenges, he was seeing shadows of death all over but he declared in Psalms 23:4 “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.” He didn’t just stop at feeling it in his heart, he confessed it out! When you look well at Psalms 23, you will realize he was building up his faith with words. At first he was talking to himself and suddenly to came to a point where he started talking directly to God. This is what happens as we keep speaking words of faith, it continues to build us up, it continues to make us bold even in the presence of adversities. At a point, we will come to realize that all those negativities are shadows. We can determine our experiences by the words we speak.

:

You don’t need to be afraid of the wrong words you said in the past. Just start speaking the right words now. You need not make any payment to speak the right word, you have got nothing to lose to speak the right words. So, why not start speaking the right words today? Some people speak the wrong words just because they need peoples’ pity! Ask them how they are doing and they tell you “I am not good”. How can they be good when they want people to pity them! Some even brag with suffering, if you ever share your bad experiences with them, they start bragging that theirs was worst! However, you are different! You can start affirming who you are in Christ and what you have got in Christ. If the Bible says you have been blessed with all spiritual blessings, why not start acknowledging it in your life? God’s word prevails as you speak it and the words you speak are infused with supernatural powers, making alive new realities, changing circumstances and subjecting everything around you to be obedient to Christ. Start establishing the right things today with words. Speak God’s words that concerns you today!
