ABOVE ALL PRINCIPALITIES AND POWER

:
The bible never said you need to enginner faith to get the name of Jesus work for you, the name just works like that! Just believe in the name of Jesus and act in that name. The Bible says in Philippians 2:10-11 “That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the father.”
:
It is for God’s glory that everything responds to the name of Jesus. There shouldn’t be an iota of doubt when we use the name of Jesus and God puts no faith of ours into consideration because He Himself has dealt to us the measure of faith as we see Romans 12:3. How would one have believed in Jesus if he had no faith? So, you don’t need to try engineering so much faith before the name of Jesus gets working for you. We aren’t just called, we are called by His name, we operate by His name which is the same thing as operating in His authority. Jesus said in Mark 16:17 that we shall cast out demons in His name, which means we are operating in His own authority. He delgated His authority to us.
:
Have you seen agencies working on behalf of the government? Have you seen members of the office of the President? They don’t need any more motivation to work! They just pass decrees in the capacity of the government and they are obeyed. A traffic warden needs no more faith to raise the stop signal for a car to stop. Disobeying any government agency means disobeying the government. That is how it is for us! We received authority over everything on earth, over every principality and power, over every demon and forces of darkness.
:
The Bible says all things holds together in Christ. God designed the universe to reflect spiritual truths! The sun produces light for the day and even for the night as it reflects on the moon, the magnetic force of the sun pulls everything around it and this way all things in the galaxy holds together. As everything obeys the pull of the sun, all things have been programmed to be obedient to Jesus and because we operate in the name of Jesus, all things are obedient to us. No wonder Jesus said to the storm “peace be still” and there was calmness in the waters. The Bible says in Matthew 17:5 “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.” You see that? Everything has been commanded to hear and obey Jesus. As we stand in the authority of Jesus, everything both in nature and Spirit has been commanded to obey Jesus.
:
In Matthew 28:18-19 Jesus said “All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost”
:
Get something amazing in the above verse. Jesus wasn’t just asking us to go preach, He first of all admitted that all power, not just demonic powers but all power that ever existed including God’s power has been given unto Him and as a result of that He commanded that we go teach and baptize all nations in His authority. Jesus is the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, Jesus is the complete express image of God and He has given us His authority in which all powers are subject to. In Luke 10:19 Jesus expressed His authority over satan whom He described as serpent (check verse 18) and He handed that authority to us. First, He said He witnessed Satan fall with the speed of light from heaven and He gave us power to step on Satan because he is already fallen. Jesus left for us a defeated and fallen satan.
:
The Bible says in Ephesians 1:19-21 “And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power. Which he wrougt in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, far above principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come.”
:
When the Bible talks about principality, it doesn’t only refer to demons because there are positive principalities too like that of the Angels who serve God’s agenda. Principality means a “prince territory”, it also means “prior authority”. Now, Jesus is above all rules, all prior authorities, all dominion including the dominion mandate the devil stole from Adam and every name or title that has been named or conferred and will still be conferred. This means, even as new authorities seem to rise up, Jesus is above it all! I love how the Bible puts it, it didn’t just said Jesus is above all but “far above all”, this means there is no way by whatever means any power, authority or name can stand or match the name of Jesus. The name of Jesus is matchless. Another beautiful thing is that the authority of Jesus over all doesn’t have an expiry date, it is valid anywhere, in any age and in any realm!
:
The authority of Jesus is no contention of any other authority, He is God all by Himself and there is nothing whatsoever that can change about it. Jesus is the ancient Zion’s king and also the king of all, not just those who believe, not just humans but the king of all in all. The Bible continues in Ephesians 1:22 saying “And hath put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be the head over all things to the Church, which is his body, the fullness of him that filleth all in all.” This is amazing, all things are under the feet of Jesus and the Church which is all believers in Him is His body, the Church is what completes Him! No wonder Jesus said we should trample on snakes because satan is under our feet for we are the body of Jesus.
:
Concerning us, the Bible says in Ephesians 2:6 “And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.” This is just mind blowing, we the Church are members of the Heavenly government, we are on earth as ambassadors and this world isn’t our home. We are above every government, every authority, every force and every name in existence and non-existence yet. We are technically above all principalities and powers. Does this mean we are crediting to ourselves the authority that belongs to Jesus? No, we aren’t crediting it to ourselves, we are the body of Christ, we didn’t do it by ourselves, we aren’t just claiming it to feel good, this is who we are, this is whom God has made us. Therefore, as we walk in this consciousness, we exercise dominion in a higher capacity than the first perfect Adam.
:
We sing “Above all powers” knowing that Jesus is above all but beyond Jesus being above all, we should also know that because we are part of Christ we are above all with Him. In the Lordship of Jesus, we are reigning with Him.
Let this mind be in you always!
Blessings!
