UNENDING VICTORY

:
In the Old Testament, the Lord would always go with His people to fight for them and give them victory. They were having victories and of course being defeated when they go against the laws. The Bible says in Deuteronomy 20:4
:
“For the LORD your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory.”
:
However, their constant victory over the gentiles was a shadow of the victory of believers over the world. While they would get punished for not meeting up with the law, God has set us free from the law entirely which although wasn’t given to us, defined us as estranged from God. He brought us into union with Himself, sharing the same nature as Him in our Spirit. Therefore, the law cannot limit our experience of victory.
:
In John 16:33 Jesus made an amazing statement saying “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” Look at that! The world has only trouble to offer and anyone who is patterned by the world can only experience it but there is a place in Christ for everyone and it is in Him that man can experience total victory over the world. The believer in Christ is already on this level.
:
The believer isn’t trying to win, he is a winner! The believer isn’t trying to have victory, He is victorious already! Paul wrote to the believers in Corinth saying,
:
“But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” – 1 Corinthians 15:57 KJV
:
Victory is a constant supply to a believer in Christ Jesus. While Jesus has overcome the world, we are the people with whom it is manifested. It is an insult to redemption to live under the shackles of the devil as a believer. One thing the devil wants you to believe is that you don’t possess power and therefore you depend on being prayed for by someone before you can walk in freedom. Listen to me, it is not something you even need to fast and pray about, it is something to believe and walk in.
:
I remember a certain time where we lived, others would usually complain that a certain Spirit press them down early in the morning that they can’t get up from the bed nor even speak a word for some minutes and sometimes hours. It kept happening to each and everyone of them and they started making some spiritual exercises about it. I didn’t mock what they were doing but I told them “it can’t happen to me, I won’t do anything about it. The devil isn’t even worth my prayer time.” I was regarded as foolish and ignorant. One night, I was sleeping on the same bed with another and it was a wonderful rest! I surely did enjoy myself that night. I woke up to hear him moan and complain “Oh… That Spirit came again. It was pressing hard on my chest.” And I responded “my case is different from yours, I had a wonderful night rest because the devil know that I know I have overcome him in Christ Jesus, so he wouldn’t dare because I am too convinced. He is only encouraged by our ignorance.”
:
You see, knowledge is what sets free. The Bible says in John 8:32 “you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free”, this means the amount of freedom you experience is determined by the amount of truth you know. Some know they are saved from sin but they don’t know they have also overcome the world and then end up living like slaves to the devil. The devil takes up their prayer time and what would be a communication with God becomes a time of communication with the devil. They spend midnights fighting battles Jesus has already won for them instead of spending that time to study God’s word and live in thanksgiving for what God has done.
:
The Bible says in Ephesians 6:10 “finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.” We can only be strong in the Lord because that is our place of strength, we can only exercise power in Him to the world because we are His outstretched arms. Our victory in Christ isn’t based on circumstances, we don’t have victory in one area of life and not have in another. We have overcome the world in it’s entirety in Christ Jesus! You don’t have to see it to believe it, you believe it and walk in it.
:
Joshua was about engaging in a battle as God assured him saying “Do not be afraid of them; I have given them into your hand. Not one of them will be able to withstand you.” Joshua 10:8. Although Joshua was yet to experience this victory, God had already assured him He has given them into his hands and they can’t be able to withstand him in that battle. Whatever would have been a motivation for Joshua in that battle was the assurance of God. What you are yet to experience has been settled in the Spirit but it takes faith to implement it on the earth. The law of bringing spiritual realities into physical manifestation is faith.
:
John wrote in 1 John 5:4 “For whatever is born of God is victorious over the world; and this is the victory that conquers the world, even our faith.” (AMPC)
:
Anyone who is a believer in Christ Jesus is born again and born of God and the Bible makes it clear that the believer is already victorious over the world and it’s ways but then the Bible gives an underlying truth that many doesn’t take cognisance of. It is only by faith that we exercise that victory, it is by faith that we subject the world on our feet. Hallelujah!
