START UP THAT IDEA!

:
When God gives us ideas, He doesn’t just want us to get excited about them, He wants us to quickly start working on them. Most celebrated ideas never saw the light of the day not because of any evil forces but because the one who received it thought receiving ideas are enough. Idea isn’t enough, it is just a map but you’ll not get to America merely looking at the American map. If you have the map, start walking with it… Start working with that idea now! Don’t wait till you have so much money… Start with the little! Have you heard about Coca Cola before? Even the deaf and dumb knows what coke is! But do you know it started as small as anything? And today it is everywhere…
:
God’s greatest way of answering certain people’s prayers for financial breakthrough is to give them ideas because money without ideas is like giving an army bullets without giving them guns. Money given to a man without ideas will only waste in irrelevant things or even in wrong investments. When God gives people ideas, He has given them means of making money, means of being a solution to their environment and means of making the world a better place. A lot of people get these ideas, get excited about it, see the end from the beginning but never ever get to that expected end because they didn’t even make the first step. Getting ideas isn’t any step to success, it’s a map for success but you must embark on the journey which begins with a step. Going on a journey without a map or someone who already knows the road map is like going on a journey of no return. So ideas are the map God has given us towards success.
:
One of the easiest way to fail is to get an idea and relax waiting for big money. Let me tell you the truth, there is no idea that cannot be started from little. Don’t think there is a way to evade the process, allowing an idea go through the process gives you experiences and knowledge that the vision will need to last for a life time.
:
If one ask me to tell him how to start up an idea, I’d just say “how to start it is to start it!” There is no need trying to make it sound big and ambiguous. If you have a million dollar idea, start with the hundred dollar in your account. Run it locally with a global mindset, knowing you are getting somewhere. You’ve got to deal with procrastination and fear, you need to hit it hard immediately. There is something about passion, it comes with a rush but begins to go down when it’s not acted upon. Most ideas comes with passion and that passion is available so that you can be able to find encouragement and motivation within you.
:
To start up an idea, you must do the following:
:
1. Ignore the fears / take that risk.
Yes, sometimes the best thing you can do to fear is to ignore it. I understand fear plays a role, it makes us think the gain and the loss but when you’ve got an idea, fear of the unknown can always limit you from going further in establishing that idea. Perhaps you have some money in your pocket and you’re afraid if you spend it on that idea you go broke… Take the risk! There is no way that idea will keep you broke! You’re not broke with ideas.
:
2. Avoid procrastination.
If there is anything you need to do, do it immediately. Procrastination always happen when people don’t find motivation to do something but you must learn to motivate yourself even when you don’t feel it! If you’ve got paper works to do, people to meet, surveys to go and other steps to take, don’t wait till it’s convenient! Do it immediately. Successful procrastination gives birth to another procrastination. Procrastination is a massage of our comfort zones. Break out of the comfort zone! Greatness don’t survive it.
:
3. Start little.
Don’t wait to be big before you start up. Nobody starts up big upfront! You don’t give birth to a man, you give birth to a baby and he grows to be a man. You grow from small to big. So if you have a few dollars, find a way to start very small. The first step to take isn’t to register your business as a limited liability company or create a website because it would not be a priority unless that idea must depend on website! You can start little and allow the brand grow with you. Some project a very big brand but produce very poor contents because they spent all their resources and time pushing a brand without allowing it to grow. You don’t run off for a loan of a million dollars when you haven’t handled hundred dollars well. Train yourself from the little to learn how to handle the big!
:
4. Be flexible.
When you get ideas, it doesn’t come very perfect! Your ideas keeps improving, the vision keeps getting better and clearer as you start running it! Don’t be so strict with the vision that you make no room for amendment and improvement. Don’t keep trying different things in a flash but keep trying different methods with same thing. This is how you find what works for you. To be flexible also means to be open to learning!
:
5. Seek professional help.
I always tell people, your father is your father no doubt but he might not be a business coach! Same applies to your Pastor! It’s good to seek advice from friends, family and well wishers but it is more profitable to seek professional advice. Professionals are people who have committed themselves to the mastery of a particular discipline. They don’t advice or counsel you out of what they feel or what they assume, they dish out counsels based on what is tested and trusted.
:
There are lots more but I believe the few points above is a good way to start. You can add this to the list of things you have learn already! God is pleased when we are faithful with what He has given us. God has given you great ideas, you’re faithful with that idea when you are committed to working it out and believe me, God doesn’t just leave you with the idea He has given you, He continues to guide you while you execute it.
:
Blessings.
