The desire for restoration is a desire of what is already yours which can only be accessed through revelation. This revelation sets you up for success.

The scripture declares

“According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue” 2 Peter 1:3.

Your restoration heritage is guaranteed in Christ, but it is your insight (knowledge) that defines the limit of access to your inheritance. Therefore, get excited at the Word because revelation is the gateway to your inheritance.

The problem with many Christians is the problem of identity! We pray the wrong prayers, talk the wrong talk, listen to the wrong teachings and we see ourselves lacking power and spiritual authority. The authority to cause change belongs to us but until we know it is really ours we cannot effect a change. One of the most popular verses of the scriptures says

“My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge.” Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests; because you have ignored the law of your God, I also will ignore your children.” Hosea 4:6

When we talk about restoration, we are talking about what has already been done! The New Testament Restoration is based on what God has already done through Jesus… The problem why many don’t experience restoration is because they don’t even know they have been restored. For what God said concerning your life to be put to effect, you must agree and for you to agree, you must know! You cannot agree to what you don’t know, you cannot know what you have not studied or learnt or come across.

Many know that Jesus died for our sins but they never knew that Jesus died for the past, the present and the future and therefore you see them allowing guilt to stand between them and God. Jesus died for the world but not many are saved! For you to be saved, you must call upon the name of the Lord and accept His gift of salvation before it manifest in your life.

The Bible already said that Jesus was bruised for our iniquity, He was flogged for our ailments, He was poor that we might be rich … All these are already established principles that controls the current dispensation of the New Covenant. So, we are the Restoration-Breed! We are the seed of Restoration, we are restoration ourselves! Look at what Paul wrote

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.” Ephesians 1:3-6

Before the creation of the world, we were pre destined to be blameless! Not just morally but in health, in finances, in every round! So, God’s main purpose of making us is that we will showcase His glory! Through Jesus, that lost glory has been restored!

We must understand that before any battle can be won in the physical it must be won in the spiritual! Look at Job, Satan already attacked him in the spiritual, took away all his physical possessions before they began to occur in the spirit. Job’s restoration was done in the spirit before we saw it physically!

This knowledge will clearly redefine what we mean when we pray for restoration! Restoration is our right, it is our own thing… we are not asking God to do what He has not done before, we are asking for the manifestation of what was finished on the cross.

When Jesus met the Samaritan woman, He promised her the water of life. Remember, she came to draw water because she was in dire need of it, if she was not thirsty she would not have come to the well. When she met Jesus, she got his promise of Double portion! What do I mean by that? She came to draw water that will finish but Jesus came to give her a kind of water that will never finish. She was thirsty but she got restored that she will thirst no more! Even David prayed that prayer

“As the deer pants for the water so my soul longs after you” Psalm 42:1

Jesus said something similar

“Those who hunger and thirst for righteousness shall be filled”

God is righteousness Himself and without dire longing for him, you cannot experience restoration! It comes from the knowledge of God… In Him we can become what He designed us to be. We are designed to function in Him; we are not designed to function outside God. Before you can long for God, you must let go of yourself, your pride, your status and all that.

Let’s take a look at Jacob; it came to a point where Jacob had to battle with God. Jacob wasn’t a good person; Jacob was a serious cheat, Jacob was a criminal and really very cunning! Esau was morally better than Jacob. Because of his greed, he gave up his destiny, gave up himself and took his brothers birth right! Many thought it was a good thing that Jacob took his brothers birth right! Jacob simply became Esau! Not just that, Jacob also stole the blessings of Esau with the help of his mother. God chose Jacob but Jacob chose to be Esau until he met God. If Jacob really knew who he was before God, he wouldn’t have preferred to take Esau’s destiny! This is what God said concerning him

“For I have chosen him, so that he will direct his children and his household after him to keep the way of the LORD by doing what is right and just, so that the LORD will bring about for Abraham what he has promised him.” Genesis 18:19

With such personality, no one will love to choose Jacob over Esau. Do you know, even at the moment of the blessing, it was not at work in the life of Jacob. Everything Jacob wanted never came the way he wanted them, Jacob wasn’t settled well with Laban, Jacob didn’t marry his desired wife and he had to start all over! Everything about Jacob was zigzag until sudden desire for God began to rise in him. But God had to bring Jacob to a point where he must give up on himself!

In Genesis 32:24-30, God decided to wrestle with Jacob! Before that, Jacob was left alone with God. There is a point in every man’s life when you must be left alone with God, when who you are no longer have a say. Jacob wrestled with God. God continued to fight with him; he needed to fight off every bad side of Jacob. You will not experience the real you if you do not give up your old self.

Do you know why God had to fight with Jacob? He had to conquer Jacob so that Jacob cannot be conquered by Esau. Jacob’s real enemy was not Esau but himself. If God had not conquered Jacob, Esau might murder him. After all, Esau would want to kill Jacob and not Israel! God won Jacob, conquered Jacob and restored him to the initial person he was meant to be! He was meant to be Israel, God’s chosen people. So on must give up himself and allow God to win him if he must be experience restoration. God’s design and desire for Jacob was not just to roam with Isaac’s blessing but to bring about for Abraham what he was promised! (Genesis 18:19) and indeed, he experienced that restoration after almost destroying himself with greed!

Redemption (John 10:10):

Every child of God is ordained for manifold supernatural restoration.
The Abraham Covenant: By redemption, you are a seed of Abraham (Galatians 3:29). Being a seed of Abraham, you are entitled to the blessings of Abraham (Genesis 12:3).

Job is a classic example of double restoration (Job 42:10). What were the steps that led to his restoration?

Desire God (Matthew 6:33):

The Bible told to see the kingdom first and other things are additions. Repentance is vital in your bid to experience true restoration. Whatever goes wrong in a man’s life is traceable to him. Every access the devil has to your life is as permitted by you. Therefore, give no place to the devil (Ephesians 4:27).
Love (Job 2:9-10):

Job was an addicted lover of God in spite of all his challenges. His three friends mocked him; yet, love moved him to pray for them. Your genuine love for God will flow to all men, including those who hurt you (1 John 4:20-21). It was after Job’s demonstration of love that God restored him. Job was a lover of God with proofs to show. You cannot turn your back on the God of restoration and experience restoration.
Revelation (Job 23:10):

Revelation is the gateway to manifold restoration (Proverbs 6:30-31). Revelation comes through the study of God’s word. Job was a man of deep revelation. He knew his change was coming (Job 14:14). Your inheritance is only deliverable by revelation (Isaiah 60:1-3).

“Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.” Romans 10:17

Faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God! One big truth is that fear too comes by hearing too. Faith comes by hearing the word of God and fear comes by hearing the word of Satan or ungodly man. Job is an example of such, Job’s faith was unwavering and his trust was total. The more you hear or study the word of God, the deeper your revelation and the stronger your faith. If you drop your faith, you have closed the door to your restoration. What you do not believe, you cannot be empowered to become (Luke 1:45).
Prayer and Fasting (Isaiah 58:6-10):

Prayer and fasting is a powerful platform to cause great changes. Prayer is not a monologue kind of communication, when you speak to God you must listen to get your answers! Praying must go in line with the scriptures.
